Damselfly larva eats ceriodaphnia
Damselfly larvae (nymphs) are aquatic insects. Video shows a damselfly larva during the hunt and the operation of a special organ, called a mask, used for capturing and eating prey (ceriodaphnia). Here the larva was placed on glass and the ceriodaphnia was added prior to imaging with dark-field light microscopy.
