Additively manufactured Fe-Nd-B permanent magnet

Laser additive manufacturing produces a textured grain structure in Fe-Nd-B permanent magnet material by high cooling rates along the building direction. The Kerr effect shows this grain structure and the magnetic domains in polarized light microscopy.
