Elemental Microscopy

Scope
MSA’s new journal, Elemental Microscopy (EM) redefines scholarly communication by offering a platform where research is not just read, but experienced. Its digital-first approach enables authors to present their findings in more engaging and insightful ways-empowering readers to interact with data, visualize complex concepts, and apply new techniques directly from the article.

Elemental Microscopy’s mission is to transform how microscopy research is shared, accessed, and advanced-moving far beyond static PDFs to create a dynamic, interactive publishing experience, based on Curvenote, https://curvenote.com/, a web-first scientific publishing platform.

EM publishes interactive, open-access articles focusing on specific microscopy techniques, featuring highly interactive figures, embedded code, and data, supporting reproducible science and open access.

Audience
Researchers, educators, and developers interested in advanced microscopy methods and data science.
