Fluorescence is one of the most eye-catching contrast techniques in light microscopy. It is a powerful image technique used in almost all scientific areas, including biology, chemistry, geology, forensics, quality control, and material science. In this talk, the speaker will cover the basics of widefield fluorescence microscopy with respect to:

  • Colors & wavelength
  • Excitation and Emission
  • Selection of filters
  • Considerations on objectives and cameras
  • Autofluorescence

This back-to-basics webinar is suitable for early career researchers or experienced microscopists. The speaker’s aim is to share his knowledge of microscopy and techniques, and to help microscopists get the most out of their microscopes.

Speaker
