Native vanadium dendritic inclusions in the mineral hibonite are revealed by X-ray micro-computed tomography (µCT). This image details the growth mechanism and has implications for dendritic crystallization in low oxygen fugacity systems. Specimen was scanned at 50 kV, yielding a tomogram with an isotropic voxel resolution of 9 µm.
